SUBJECT: Recommendation to Award Bid for Transit-f1ixed Concrete
Bid No. l652
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for Transit Mixed Concrete
for unit prices and the term of October 1, through September
30, 1982. Funds for this purchase have been budgeted in account
number 01-500-421-000-414 (Streets Division)
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and
deliver transit mixed concrete to various areas in the City, in
accordance with City specifications, bids were received and
publicly opened and read on August 19, 1981. Proposal forms
were mailed to nineteen suppliers and notices were advertised
in accordance with City Charter and Mun~cipal Code provisions.
One responsive proposal was received from Livingston Graham
division of Gulf and Western Industries, Irwindale, California.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to Livingston Graham Divisic
Irwindale, California in the amounts required and at the unit
prices shown on the attached schedule for the period from October
1, 1981 through September 30, 1982.
