SUBJECT. RecOTIllllendatlon to Award Bid for Fuel Dispensers.
Bid No. 1644
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for Fuel Dispensers at the City
Yards in the total amount of $11,917.58 including applicable sales
tax. Funds for this purchase have been budgeted in account
number 01-500-481-000-801 (Hechanical ;{aintenance).
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and
deliver replacements for existing fuel pumps, including pollution
control equipment at the City Yards in accordance with City
specifications, bids were received and publicly opened and read
on August 20, 1981. Proposal forms were mailed to fourteen
vendors and notices were advertised in accordance with City
Charter and Municipal Code provisions. Three proposals were re-
ceived as shown on the attached schedule.
Recommendation
It is recommended_- that the avlard be made to Prime of California,
Paramount, California in the total amount of $11,917.58, including
tax, as the lowest and best bidder.
