SUBJECT: Recommendation to Award Bid for One Turf Transporter.
Bid No. 1646
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for one off-road, 4-wheel
turf transporter in the total amount of $5,522.60 including sales
tax. Funds for this purchase have been budgeted in account
number 37-500-641-000-803 (Mechanical Maintenance).

In response to published Notice Inviring Bids to furnish and
deliver one turf transporter in accordance with City specifications,
bids were received and publicly opened and read on August 20, 1981.
Proposal forms were mailed to seven vendors and notices were
advertised in accordance with City Charter and Municipal Code pro-
visions. Two proposals were received as shown on the attached
schedule.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to West Point Industries,
Inc., Long Beach, Ca. in the total amount of $5,522.60, including
tax, as the lowest and best bidder, when the 2%-20 days cash terms
are considered.
