SUBJECT: Recommendation to Award Bid for Four Cabs and Chassis
Bid No. 1650.
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for four refuse cab and chassis
units in the total amount of $213,780.80 including applicable
sales tax. Funds for this purchase have been budgeted in
account number 27-500-44l-000-80lA (Refuse Collection)
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and
deliver four refuse type cab and chassis units in accordance
with City specifications, bids were received and publicly opened
and read August 27, 1981. Proposal forms were mailed to ten
known manufacturers and notices were advertised in accordance
with City Charter and Municipal Code provisions. Two proposals
were received as noted on the attached schedule.
