SUBJECT: Recommendation to Award Bid for Video Tape System
Bid No. 1653
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for a portable video tape
recording system in the total amount of $7,438.43 including
applicable sales tax. Funds for this purchase have been
budgeted in account number 01-300-301-000-821 (Police Department).
Background
In response to publ~shed Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and
deliver a portable v~deo tape recording system in accordance with
City specifications, bids were received and publicly opened and
read on September 15, 1981. Proposal forms were mailed to ten
kno~~ d~stributors and not~ces were advertised in accordance
with City Charter and Mun~cipal Code provisions. Two proposals
were received as follows:
