SUBJECT: Recommendation to Award Bid for Sheet Cut and Roll
Paper. Bid No. 1651.
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for approximately 1220 cases
of assorted sheet cut paper and lOa cases of roll copier paper
at unit prices for the period September 1, 1981 through October
3l, 1982. Funds for this purchase have been budgeted in various
account numbers in several departments.
Background
In response to published Not~ce Inviting Bids to furnish and
deliver sheet and roll cut papers in accordance with City
specifications, bids were received and publicly opened and
read August 13, 1981. Proposal forms were mailed to fifteen
paper distributors and notices were advertised in accordance with
Ci ty Charter and :1uniclpa1 Code provis ions. Four respons i ve
proposals were received as outlined ~n the attached schedule.
Re cor.nnendat ion
It is recommended that the award be made to'
1. Zellerbach Paper Co. Items 1,2,3.
2. Ingram Paper Co. Items 4,5,7,9.
3. Kirk Paper Co. Items 6,8.
for the prices quoted in each case as amended through the
