SUBJECT. Recommendation To Award Bid For Equipment Rental.
Bid No. 1671.
Introduct~on
This report concerns award of bid for rental with operator of
a hydraulic stomper at the unit prices quoted during the period
October 1, 1981 through September 30, 1982. Funds for this
purchase have been budgeted in account number 25-500-671-000-26l
(Water Department)
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish for rental
of a hydraulic stomper with operator as needed and in accordance
with City Water Division specif1cations, bids were received and
publicly opened and read on September 24, 1981. Proposal forms
were mailed to ten heavy equipment rental firms and notices were
advertised in accordance with City Charter and Municipal Code
provisions. Two proposals were received as follows:
A. C. Peterson Co., Inc.
Deanco Concrete Cutting Inc.
Rate $64.00/Hour
Rate $65.00/Hour
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to A.C. Peterson Co., Inc.,
Downey, Californ~a in the unit amount per hou~ as bid, as the lowest
and best bidder.
