SUBJECT. Recommendation to Award Bid for Sale of Six Used
Busses. Bid No. 1637
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for the sale of six
inoperative used busses in the total amount of $27,750.00.
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to sell six
used inoperative busses, bids were received and publicly
opened and read on October 4, 1981. Proposal forms were mailed to
fourteen prospective bidders and notices were advertised in
accordance with City Charter and Municipal Code provisions One
proposal was received from Dickenson Sales and Service of
Onoka, Minnesota in the total amount of $27,750.00. The
inoperative condition of these busses probably is cause
for the lack of bidder interest. The price offered by Dickenson
is advantageous to the City.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to Dickenson Sales and
Service, Anoka Minnesota in the total amount of $27,750 00
as the highest and best bidder.
