CurbSlde Recycllng Program--Bld No. 1691
Introductlon
This report concerns award of bld for 159 Custom Refuse Containers In the
total amount of $40,786.00 including applicable sales tax. Funds for this
purchase have been budgeted ln account number 27-500-443-000-401.
Background
In response to publlshed Notice Invltlng Bids to furn15h and deliver Custom
Refuse Contalners in accordance wlth Clty speclflcations, blds were recelved
and publlcly opened and read October 15, 1981. Proposal forms were mal led to
f1fteen fabrlcators and notlces were advertised in accordance Wlt~ City Charter
and Munlclpal Code provlsions. Three proposals were recelved as listed below.
Consolldated Fabricators----- $40,786.00
Peabody Solid Wastes, Inc.--- $42,247.00
E. and T. Equlpment---------- $58,616.00
Recommendation
It 15 recommended that the award be made to CONSOLIDATED FABRICATORS in the
total amount of S40,786.00, 1ncluding tax, as the lowest and best bldder.
