SUBJECT: Recommendation to Award Bid to Furnish and Deliver
Hydraulic Valve Operator Parts and Supplies, Bid #2427
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid to furnish and deliver
hydraulic valve operator parts and supplies for the Water
Division, General Services Department, at specified manufacturer
discounts, plus applicable sales tax.
Background
In response to published Notices Inviting Bids (published June 12
and 151 1992) to furnish and deliver hydraulic valve operator
parts and supplies in accordance with city specifications, bids
\vere received and publicly opened and read on June 291 1992.
Proposal forms ~Ilere mailed to five vendors and notices were
advertised in accordance with City Charter and Municipal Code
provisions. Four proposals were received as follows:

at four wastewater stations.
staff has evaluated the low bid and finds that it meets City
specifications.
Budget/Financial Impact
Fiscal Year 1992/93 appropriation authority for this purchase is
in the Water Division, General Services Department, account
number 25-500-671-00000-4401-00000,
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award of Bid #2427 be made to Marden
Susco, Inc. at specified manufacturer discounts, plus applicable
sales tax, as the lowest and best bidder.
