SUBJECT: Recommendation to Award Bid to Furnish and Deliver One
(1) New 11,000 GVW Cab and Chassis with Dump Body,
Bid 2193
INTRODUCTION
This report concerns award of bid to furnish and deliver one (1)
new 11,000 GVW cab and chassis with dump body for the street
Division, General Services Department, in the total amount of
$18,316.68, including applicable sales tax.
BACKGROUND
In response to published Notices Inviting Bids (published
September 9 and 12, 1988) to furnish and deliver one (1) new
11,000 GVW cab and chassis with dump body in accordance with City
specifications, bids were received and publicly opened and read
on October 4, 1988.
Proposal forms were mailed to eight (8)
vendors and notices were advertised in accordance with City
Charter and Municipal Code provisions.
Four proposals were

staff has evaluated the low hid and finds that it meets city
specifications.
BUDGETARY/FINANCIAL IMPACT
Fiscal Year 1988/89 appropriation authority for this purchase is
in the street Division, General Services Department, account
number 01-500-421-000-806.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the award of Bid #2193 be made to cummings
Buick-GMC in the total amount of $18,316.68 r including tax, as
the lowest and best bidder.
