SUBJECT: Recommendation to Award Bid to Furnish and Deliver
Miscellaneous Meter Boxes and Vaults, Bid #2201
INTRODUCTION
This report concerns award of bld to furnish and dellver
miscellaneous meter boxes and vaults for the Water Division,
General Services Department, at specified unit prices, plus
applicable sales tax.
BACKGROUND
In response to published Notices Inviting Bids (published
December 6 and 7, 1988) to furnlsh and deliver miscellaneous
meter boxes and vaults in accordance with city specifications,
bids were received and publicly opened and read on December 20,
1988. Proposal forms were mailed to three vendors and notlces
were advertised in accordance wlth city Charter and Municipal
Code provisions. Three proposals were received as follows:

staff has evaluated the low bid from Eisel Enterprises, Inc. and
finds that it meets or exceeds City specifications.
BUDGETARY/FINANCIAL IMPACT
As the materials are drawn out of inventory, they will be
expensed against available FY 1988/89 appropriation authority in
the Water Division, General Services Department. For the period
July 1, 1989, through December 31, 1989, funds will be as set
forth in the FY 1989/90 budget.
RECOM}iENDATION
It is recommended that the award of Bid #2201 be made to Eisel
Enterprises, Inc. at specified unit prices, plus applicable tax,
as the lowest and best bidder.
