A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT, USE AND INVESTMENT
OF ONE OR MORE DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS WITH CERTAIN BANKS AND
SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATIONS: AUTHORIZING FACSIMILE
SIGNATURES BY CHARLES M. DENNIS AND KAY WATANABE: AND
AUTHORIZING CERTAIN OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES TO ENTER SAFE
DEPOSIT BOX "Bn AT THE FIRST INTERESTATE BANK
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the city of Santa Monica, a municipal
corporatlon, establlshes ln its name one or more deposlt accounts wlth
the All~ance Bank of Culver City, Amerlcan City Bank, Amer~can Pac~flc
State Bank, Bank of Amerlca National Trust and Savings Associatlon, Bank
of Beverly Hills, Bank of Marlna del Rey, Brentwood Bank, Ca11fornia First
Bank, Callfornla Korea Bank, Century Bank, City National Bank, Chase
Manhattan Bank, New York, New York, Crocker Natlona1 Bank, Flrst Paclfic
Bank, First Women's Bank of California, French Bank of California, Golden
State Sanwa Bank, Imperlal Bank, Lloyds Bank of Californla, Manufacturers
Bank, Republlc Bank, Santa Monlca Bank, Security Pacific Natlonal Bank,
Sumitomo Bank of Callfornia, Union Bank, First Interstate Bank, Wells
Fargo Bank, and Western Bank of Commerce upon such terms and condltlons
as are provided by the Statutes of the State of Californla governing
publlC deposlts: and that Charles M. Dennis, Dlrector of Flnance/Clty
Controller, and Kay Watanabe, Clty Treasurer, be and they hereby are
authorized by establlshing such accounts.
SECTION 2. That the City of Santa Monica, a municipal corporatlon,
establishes In lts name one or more deposit accounts with American Savlngs
and Loan ASSoclatlon, Beverly Hills Sav~ngs and Loan Associatlon, Brentwood
Sav~ngs and Loan Association, Cal~fornia Federal Savings and Loan, Century
Federal Savlngs and Loan Assoc~atlon, Citlzens Savlngs and Loan Associatlon,
Coast Federal Savlngs and Loan Association, Culver Federal Savings and
Loan Associat10n, Far West Savlngs and Loan Associatlon, First Federal
Savlngs and Loan ASSOclation, Glbraltar Savings and Loan Associatlon,

Watanabe, Clty Treasurer, be and they hereby are authorized by establish1ng
such accounts.
SECTION 3. That Charles M. Dennis, Dlrector of Finance/City
Controller, and Kay Watanabe, City Treasurer, be and they hereby are
authorized to withdraw funds from said accounts upon warrants and/or
checks slgned as provlded here~n wlth signatures duly certifled to sald
banks by the City Clerk of the Clty of Santa Monlca, and sald banks are
hereby authorized to honor and pay any and all warrants and/or checks
signed, including those drawn to the indlvidual order or any offlcer or
other person autharlzed to slgn the same.
SECTION 4. ?hat the Santa i10nica offlce of the
Santa Monica Bank, First Interstate Bank, the Bank of America Natlonal
Trust and Savings Assoclatlon, as designated depositorles of the Clty, be
and they, lncludlng thelr correspondent banks, hereby are requested,
authorized, and directed to honor all checks, drafts, or other orders
for the payment of money drawn to the 1nd1vldual order of any person or
persons whose names appear thereon as signer or slgners thereof, when
bearlng or purportlng to bear the facslml1e signatures of Charles M. Dennis
and Kay Watanabe ~n 11eu of sald person's manual slgnaturei provided
that all previous authorizatlons for the slgning and honoring of checks,
drafts, or other orders for the payment of money drawn on said banks by
the C1ty hereby are continued in full force and effect as amplifled hereby.

SECTION 5. That the City of Santa Monlca, a municipal
corporation, has rented safe deposit box "B" at the Flrst Interstate
Bank, and that Charles M. Dennls, Director of FlnancejClty Controller,
or Kay Watanabe, Clty Treasurer, jointly with J. L. Wllbur, Llcense and
Permlt Supervisor, or Esmeralda Kelley, be and they are hereby
authorlzed to enter sald safe depso~t box.
SECTION 6. The provisions of thlS Resolution shall be
effect~ve May 6, 1983. Resolutlon Number 6533 (CCS) and all other
Resolutlons In conflict herewith are repealed effectlve May 6, 1983.
SECTION 7. The Clty Clerk shall certify to the adoptlon
of this Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
