Introductlon
Th1S report transmits a request for the appropriat1on of $6,000
to cover unexpected legal advertlsing costs incurred by the
Plannlng Department due to an exceptlonal number of subd1v1s1ons.
Background
As a result of the exceptlonally heavy number of subd1visions
for condom1nlum purposes, the legal advert1Slng budget of $4,640
has been exhausted as of January 1st. In Vlew of the large number
of appl1cat1ons, approxlmately 100, a spec1al appropr1atlon of
$6,000 15 requested to cover costs lncurred dur1ng the remalnder
of this flscal year. Publication of legal notlces 18 required
In connection w1th each 8ubd1vlsion appllcat10n but 1n order to
reduce costs we are comb1ning the notlces wherever posslble wh1le
st1ll satlsfying legal requ1rements. Any unexpended funds would
be returned to the general funds at the conclus1on of the flscal
year.
