Request to tra~sfer funds within the~ budget to
purc~ase a new safe
Introduction
This report requests a transfer of funds uithin the pier supplies
and expense budget account #30-400-622-00D-322 to the pier ca~ital
expenditure account #30-400-622-000-804 for the purchase of a new
safe
Background
The pier office houses a safe for deposit of the parking lot revenue
at the end of each shift ~he existing safe is very old and ~as
been burglarized twice. The Police Department advises the ~nstall-
ment of a newer design cnpenetrable safe
Recommendation
It is the recommedation of staff that the City Council authorize
the transfer of approximately $750.00 for the purchase and install-
ation of a new safe.
