It was our honor to serve in this capacity for the fiscal vear
ended June 30, 1960. and also intermittently for prior years.
Our qualifications to carry out th1s responsibility is evident

Since the council w111 soon engage an auditing firm for the ensu1ng
f1scal vesr, we respectfully request vour consideration and propose

Honorable Members:
We respectfully request your consideration in granting to
our flrm the contract to audit the books and records of
the City of Santa Monica for the fiscal year ending June
30, 1961.
The Audit Contract would be in conformlty wlth the spec-
ificatlons upon which this offer 1S made and for a fee
not to exceed $8,000.00. A specific performance bond
will be furnished upon request.
Our firm, former~ Charles L. Jones & Co., has been awarded
the Audit Contract in alternate years wlth another local
firm. Since the alternate f1rm has prepared the audit for
the year ended June 30, 1960, .we respectfully sol1cit your
consideration in our appointment as the independent audit-
ing firm for the fiscal year 1960 - 1961.
