SUBJECT: Motion Sett1ng June 13, 19i8 as the Date for the
Public Hearing on the 1978-79 CIty Budget
Introduction
ThIS report transmits the motIon Whlch sets the time and date for
the public hearing on the 1978-79 CIty Budget.
Background
Section 1503 of the City Charter provides that the City Councll
determines the time for holding the public hearing on the annual
C1ty budget. This IS customarIly done by motIon. After adopt1on
of the mot1on the City Clerk 15 required to publIsh a notIce of
the budget publIC hearIng not less than ten days prIor to the
hearIng.
The Staff proposes that the Regular City CouncIl meetIng of June
13, 1978 be deSIgnated as the tIme and place for the required
budget publIC hearing.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the Council adopt a motion settIng June 13,
1978 as the publIC hearIng on the 1978-79 CIty budget.
