SUBJECT: Budqet Study Sessions and Setting of Public Hearing to
Review and Adopt FY 1979-80 Budget
INTRODUCTION
This report concerns setting a publle hearing for review and adootlon of
the FY 1979-80 budget and notifieatlon to the public of the dates and times
of public study sessions.
STUDY SESSIONS
Following essentially the same schedule which has been followed in prlor
years, the budqet study sessions are proDosed to be held on Tuesday, May 29
throuQh Friday, June 1, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 D m. each day in the Coune,l
Chambers. The sessions are open to the public. A complete sc~edule by
department is attached.
REVIEW AND BUDGET ADOPTION
The public hearing for review and adoption of the budqet is scheduled for
7:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 12, 1979. This is a regularly scheduled City Counell
Meeting, however, no other items w11l be lncluded in the Agenda. It is
necessary that the City Council take action to set this Dublic hearing.
RECOHMENDA TI ON
It is recommended that the City Council aoprove the oroposed dates and tiMes
for the study sessions and set the public hearlng for review and adoption of the
FY 1979-80 budget for 7:30 Pem. on June 12, 1979
