A RESOLUTIOK OF THE CITY COUNCIL aF THE CITY
OF SA~TA MO~ICA DECLARING ITS INTE~TION TO
8PER"tTE THE PARKING LOT O!'l THE SA~JTA HO:'{I CA
PIER A~D ESTABLISHI~G THE RULES A~D ~EGULA-
TIO~S FOR THE OPER~TIOX THEREOF.
THE CITY C08"XCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA HONICA DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLQ:\'"S:
SECTIOx 1. That the City of Santa :!onica will operate
the automobile parking lot on the Santa Monica State Pler.
SECTIO~ 2. The followlng rules and regulations are
hereby established for the operatlon of said autonobile parking
lot:
A. The rates to be charged shall be fixed by the
Clty 'tanager from time to tIme, but in no event shall exceed
THREE DOLLARS per day.
B. The lot shall be open and closed at such tlmes
as the City ~1anager shall from time t.o t.ime determine.
C. ~o parklng shall be permitted on said lot between
the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. Cars remaining on the lot
after 3:00 a.m. shall be subject to be towed away and impounded
at the owner's expense.
D. Stop signs shall be erected at the entrance and
eXlt of said automobile park parking lot and there shall be
posted III a consplcuoUS ~lace at the entrance of said automobIle
park parking lot a sign lvhlCh sign shall speclfy a reasonable
speed ll~it, tOtiether with the ?rlCeS to be charged and the
hours of operation.

E. Upon the payment of the fee, parking ticket shall
be issued, and placed on dashboard by driver. The tickets shall
be serially numbered and the portIon to be handed to the driver
shall contain the followIng language"

acknowledgement by holder that he has read
and agrees to the foregolllg conditlons.

F. No person shall park any vehicle in saId
automobile parking lot across any line or marklng of a parking
space or in such position that the vehicle shall not be entirely
wlthln the area desIgnated by such lInes or marklngs.
G. No person shall dispose of waste pa?er, trash
or other substances, exce?t in receptacles prOVIded therefor.
SECTIO~ 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of thIS resolution and thenceforth and thereafter
the same shall be ln full force and effect.
