B,ackg round At theIr regular meet1ngs of November 14, 1983 and January 9, 1984, the Personnel Board revlewed the 1983-84 Afflrmatlve ActIon proJram Update and voted to transmIt the follOWIng comments: P 2 & 4. The Board would like language from the Complaint ResolutIon Procedure regarding access to the City Council if the complaint 1nvolves a Council appointed offlc1al added to the C1arIficatlon of the Affirmative ActIon POllCY Concerning sexual Harassment. P 3. The Board would lIke coples of the update to be avaIlable in the C1ty Hall Employee Lounge, the street and Water Div 1510n JAN 1 7 1984 (JIJO 70 /I-E " ... lunchrooms and the Ma~n Library reference desk as well as In the Personnel office. pp 21-66. The Board would li~e to see multlple goals, wherever appropriate. That is, if a Department would beneflt from selectlon of a Black or a HIspani~, both of those cells in the grld should be marked instead of selecting one or the other. pp 56-58. The Board would like to see "sworn" Fire personnel listed separately from other protective service employees 1n the Department 1n order to better gauge progress.
