SUBJECT: Pier Park Design
The Recreation and Parks Comm1SS1on met 1n regular session on October 22, 1981.
At th1s meeting plans were presented for the design of the area on the eastern
portion of the Santa Mon~ca Pier adjacent to the Promenade. Based upon this
presentation, the follow1ng recowmendation was made.
Ern1e Powell moved to recommend to the City Council that Plan #1, the wood decking
and sand volleyball courts, be adopted and considered as a temporary recreational
fac1lity unt1l a comprehensive plan for the pier ~s formulated. The mot~on was
seconded and carr~ed unan1mously.
