A~ ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA, ~tENDING
SECTION 3393C AND 3393D OF THE SAllTA
MON1CA MUNICIPAL CODE TO INCREASE ON
STREET PARKING METER RATES IN P~RKING
f1ETER ZONE C.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES HEREBY
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Sections 3393C and 3393D ar~ hereby amenderl
and as amended shall read as follows:
SECTION 3393C. Parking Meter Zone "e".
(1) All streets within the Clty not spec1f1-
cally described in th1S section shall constl-
tu te Zone "C It .
(2) Parking a vehicle in a des1qnated space
in Zone "e" shall be lawful for 60 ID1nutes
upon the deposit of 10 cent s in COlll and for
an additlonal 60 minutes for each 10 cents
1n coin deposited thereafter.
(3) Parklng meters shall be operated 1n Zone "e"
every day between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and
6:00 p.m. except Sundays and holldays.
SECTION 3393D. ParkJ..ng Heter Zone "D".
(1) The followlng ndJued and descrJ..bed,
streets or portion of streets of the Clty
shall constitute Zone "n": namely

(a) PleQ Boulevard to the South C2tv Llmlts,
Nellson Nay to Ocean Avenue - Barnard Nay
1nclusive.
(b) All of the westerly portion of Llncoln
Boulevard from Mlch1gan to Plea Boulevard.
(c) Both sldes of 28th Street and 31st Street
souLh of Ocean Park Boulevard.
(d) Ocean Park Boulevard between 25th Street
and Centlnela AvenUl~ and all streets lntersectlng
Ocean Park BOulevard frOM that lntersectlon to
a point 300 feet~north.
(2) Parking a vehicle in a desl.gnated space In
Zone "0" shall be lawful for 60 m1nutes upon the
deposlt of 25 cents 1n coin, and for an addltlonal
60 minutes for each 25 cents In COlD deposlted
thereafter.
(3) Park1ng Met-ers shall be operated 1D Zone "I)"
every day between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 6:')0 D.m.
SECTION 2. Any provlslon of the Santa Monl.ca Munlclpal Code
or appendices thereto 1.nCOnslstent therewlth, to the extent of
such lncons.lstencies and no further, are hereby repealed or mod~-
fled to that extent necessary to affect the prOV1slons of th~s
ord lnance ..
SECTION 3.
If any section, snb5ectlon, sentence, clause,
or phrase of thlS ord1nance 15 for any reason held to be lnvalld
or unconstitutional by a dec2sion of any court of any COMpetent
jurlsdict2on, such decis10n shall not affect the valldity of the

remalnlng port~ons of the ordinance. The City Counell herebY
declares that lt would have passed th~s ordlnance and eaeh and
every seetlon, subseet~on, sentence, clause or ~hrase not
declared invalid or unconstltutional wlthout regard to whether
any portion of the ordinance would be subsequently declared
lnvalid or unconstitutional.
SEC'J'ION 4. The Mayor shall sign and the Clty Clerk
shall attest to the passage of this ordinance. The Clty
Clerk shall cause the same to be published once In the offlclal
newspaper within flfteen (15) days after its adoption. The
ordinance shall become effective after thirty (30) days from
