Request for City Council Action
The Rent Control Board, at its meeting on November 16,
1989, voted to request that the City Council extend the
coverage of the city's "revolving door ordinance", Municipal
Code Sectlon 2150 et seq., to cover certain Rent Control Board
employees and the Rent Control Board Commissioners themselves.
The Board asks that the Rent Control Board
Commissioners be covered just as the City Council members are
covered in this ordinance. Of the staff members, the Board
requests that the employees in the positions of Administrator,
Informations Systems Manager, Hearings Department Manager,
General Counsel, and Staff Attorneys be listed as covered City
employees pursuant to Section 2151(b).
I am addressing this request to the City Manager with
a copy to the City Attorney so that the amendment to the
ordinance could be scheduled at the Council's earliest
convenience. Thank you for your consideration of this matter.
