Introduction Landmarks Commiss~oner Dav~d Cameron is requesting approval for the reimbursement of travel expenses to attend the Nat~onal Trust Preservat~on Conference the annual reeet~ng of the National Trust for Historic Preservat~on; in San Antonio Texas. On June 21, 1983 the City Council voted to delete the Lan~~rks commission's travel budget and transfer the funds for the contin- uance of the Historical Resources Survey. The LandmarkS Commission was di~ected to make a specific request for funds to the C~ty Council should the Commissioners des~re to attend out of town meetings. Background The 1983 NTP conference was held in San Antonio Texas from Wednesday October 26, through October 30, 1983. Mr. Cameron is very act~ve ~n the histor~c preservation community and has indlcated the conference IS partlcularly important ~n helping him stay well-~nformed on current developments ~n the preservatlon of histor1cally and arch~tecturally s~gnificant build~ngs around the country. He wlll present a report on the conference to the Landmarks Commission. Mr. Cameron's travel expenses are as follows: Travel (Based on round-trip air, Jet coach or $ less ~f d~scount or promotional fare can be obtained) 399 Registration Fee (Official reception and events) $ 120 172 Lodging (Four nights @ $43.00 per night) $ $ 144 Meals (Four days not to exceed $36.00 per day) TOTAL $ 835 Budge~/F~nancial Impact The recommendations put forward in this report shall have an impact on the General Fund Reserve in tha~ the Plannlng and Zoning Budget does no~ contain appropr~ation authority for Commission member ~ravel~ Mr. Cameron's estimate is in accordance with the Council direction of Se~tember 13, 1983 aud administrative ~nstructions dis~r2buted to all Comm2ssion and Board members by the D~rector of F~nance on September 26, 1983.
