SUBJECT: Adoption of Resolution Establishing Salary for Airport
NOlsejOperations Coordinator and Event Coordinator
INTRODUCTION
This report requests adoption of the attached salary resolut~on
establ~sh~ng the salary rates for the classificatlons of Airport
NoisejOperations Coordinator and Event Coordlnator.
BACKGROUND
Classification studies were conducted for several posltions as a
part of the Fiscal Year 93-94 budget process. As a result of these
studles, one of the positions in the Resource Management Department
was reclassified to Alrport NoisejOperat ions Coordinator. An
internal salary comparlson was conducted for this classlfication.
The recommended salary is based on lnternal alignment factors in
relationship to comparable positions within the City.
As a result of restructur~ng of the Community and Cultural Services
Department, additional duties and responsibilities were added to
the clasSlflcation of Event Coord~nator. The recommended salary is
the result of an analysls of both internal and external alignment
factors
BUDGET/FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funds are included in the budget for Flscal Year 1993-94 to cover
all salary costs related to the adoption of thls salary resolution.
RECOMMENDATIONS
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached salary
resolution establishing the new salary rates for the above new
position classificatlons
