Subject: Adoption of an C}rdinance F2egulating Sampling on the Pier and Third
Street Promenade
Recommended Action
S#aff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance.
Executive Summary
At its meeting an February 27, 20C}7, the City Council intraduced far first readir~g an
ardinance clarifying that permits are required to conduct sampling activities on the Pier
and Third Street Promenade and that the Pier Restoratian Corporation and the Bayside
District Corporation may authorize temporary sampling activi#ies pursuant ta their
services agreements with the City ar-d on certain conditions which protect the public
safe#y and welfare. The ordinance is now presented ta the City ~auncil far adoptian.
