Relating to Priority for City Services and Adoption of Resolution Setting

Recommended Action
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance and resolution.
Executive Summary
At its meeting on September 26, 2006, the City Council introduced for first reading an ordinance
adding Chapter 1.20 to the Municipal Code relating to priority for City services to confirm the
sole propriety and authority of the City Council to expedite City services and establish such
service priorities by resolution. The Council also reviewed the attached resolution setting the
priority of City services related to development activities, in anticipation of adopting the
resolution at the same meeting as it adopted the ordinance. Both documents are now
presented to the City Council for adoption.
