From: City Staff
Subject: Award of Professional Services Agreement for the Annual Street & Park
Lighting Project
Introduction
The report recommends that the City Council authorize the City Manager to negotiate
and execute a professional services agreement with Reedcorp Engineering, Inc., in an
amount not to exceed $415,000 to provide civil and electrical engineering services for
the Annual Street & Park Lighting Project.
Background
The City of Santa Monica?s annual Street & Park lighting rehabilitation program provides

California Edison power, savings to the City can be realized. In addition, light poles that
have been damaged are replaced.
Discussion
On April 4, 2005, a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) was issued for civil and electrical
engineering services for the Annual Street & Park Lighting Project. On April 27, 2005,
proposals were received from two firms. Following a review of the proposals, staff from

successfully provided civil and electrical engineering services on previous City street &
park lighting projects.
