Resolution ~uth~rizing the City Manager to Execute a Mem~randum of
Understanding With the Management Team Associates I
Associates.
BACKGROUND
The current Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Manage~ent Team
Associates (MTA) expired on June 30, 2003. As per the terms and conditions of the
expired MOU, negotiations with MT A to replace the expired MOU commenced and resulted
in the attached MOU. This new agreement has been ratified by the members~ip of MTA.
This agreement is a one-year contract. The MOU provides for a cost of living increase for
FY2003-2004, which will result in MTA employees receiving the same co~t of living
increase that was granted to other City bargaining units on July 1, 2003; the elimination of
eligibility for an automobile allowance or city-provided vehicles; an increase to
management incentive pay; and some minor language changes.
BUDGET/FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funds are already included in the budget for FY2003-2004 to cover any costs associated
with this agreement.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that Council adopt the attached Resolution authorizing the City
Manager to execute the attached Memorandum of Understanding with the Management
Team Associates.
