SUBJECT: An Interim Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Santa Monica
Extending the Modifications to Development Standards and Building
Height Projections for Projects Developed within the R2 Low Density
Multiple Family Residential, R3 Medium Density Multiple Family
Residential and R4 High Density Multiple Family Residential Districts and
to the Requirements for Demolition Permits
INTRODUCTION
At its meeting on March 26, 2002, the City Council introduced for first reading an
ordinance extending an existing interim ordinance which modifies the development
standards and building height projection standards for the R2, R3 and R4 multi-family
zoning districts and modifies the demolition permit standards for structures which are
forty years of age or older. The ordinance is now presented to the City Council for
adoption.
RECOMMENDATION
It is respectfully recommended that the accompanying ordinance be adopted.
