This report recommends award of bid to remove and replace damaged wmdow glass and
plexlglass window guards for the Transportation Department at specified hourly rates with
two one-year renewal options
Background
In response to published Notices InViting Bids (published June 16 and 17, 1998) In
accordance with City specIfications, bids were receIved and publicly opened and read on
June 29, 1998 Proposal forms were mailed to five vendors and notices were advertised
In accordance wIth CIty Charter and MUniCIpal Code provIsIons Two proposals were
received as follows

The successful bidder will remove damaged Windows and Window guards and Install new
wmdow glass and window guards provided by the TransportatIon Department

Staff has evaluated the low bid and finds that It meets City specificatIons
Clnedyne, Inc provides 100% employer paid health care benefits to the employees who
will be working on City Jobs General laborers will be paid hourly wages ranging from
$800 to $10 00 depending on senlonty
Due to current workload, City staff cannot provide thiS service

RecommendatIon
