SUBJECT Recommendation to FurnIsh and Deliver Nine (9) New Parking
Enforcement Vehicles and Authorize the City Manager to Execute a
Contract with White Bear Sales
Introduction
ThIs report concerns award of a contract to furnIsh and deliver nine (9) new parking
enforcement vehicles for the Special Enforcement DIvIsion, Police Department, In the
total amount of $159,263 57, including applicable sales tax
Background
White Bear Sales IS the manufacturer of the GO-4 Parking Enforcement vehicle They
sell directly to the City, not through distributors Currently, they are the only
manufacturer of parking enforcement vehicles which can be converted to CNG The
City has thirteen (13) of the CNG powered GO-4 vehicles manufactured by White Bear
Sales currently In operation
Staff has evaluated the quote for all nine (9) vehicles which Will be converted to CNG
upon delivery and finds that It meets City speCifications
