AdoptIon of Resolution Establishing Salary Rates for Accountant- Collections, Community Relations Specialist, Deputy City Clerk, NOIse Operations TechniCian, Senior Administrative Analyst-Economic Development, Senior BUilding Inspector, Senior Transit Programs Analyst, PolIce Officer Trainee (Pre-Service), Solid Waste CollectIons Supenntendent, Solrd Waste Matenals Recovery Supenntendent, Solid Waste Systems Superintendent INTRODUCTION ThIs report requests adoption of the attached salary resolution establishing salary rates for Accountant-Collections, Community Relations SpecIalist, Deputy City Clerk, NOIse Operations TechnICian, Senior Administrative Analyst-Economic Development, Senior BUilding Inspector, Senior Transit Programs Analyst, Police Officer Trainee (Pre- Service), Solid Waste Collections Supenntendent, Solid Waste Matenals Recovery Supenntendent, Solid Waste Systems Superintendent The Personnel Board has reviewed and approved all of the new and revised claSSification speCifications. All positions contained In this staff report are currently budgeted at the recommended salanes. BACKGROUND The clasSifications of Accountant-Collections, Community Relations Specialist, Deputy City Clerk, Noise Operations TechnicIan, Senior AdminIstratIve Analyst-Economic Development, Semor BUilding Inspector, Semor Transit Programs Analyst, pOllcn re, \ -"_ I Officer Trainee (Pre-Service) are reclassificatIOns of currently budgeted positions, with NOV 2 6 1996 L . On behalf of each employee covered hereunder, the Clty agrees to contrlbute t.hree hundred twenty-flve (325) dollars lnto the 457 plan In addltlon, on behalf of each employee covered hereunder, the City further agrees to contrlbute lnto the 457 plan the amount the employee lS contrlbuting lnto the 457 plan, Dut In no event shall ~he addltlonal Clty contrlbutlon exceed seventy-flve (75) dollars per month per partlclpatlng employee Under thlS sec~lon, the Clty'S total contrlbutlon lnto the 457 plan shall not exceed four hundred (400) dollars per mont~ per partlcipatlng employee. Upon notJ..flca~lon by MTA, the Clty shall establish and maintaln a penslon plan pursuant to the provlslons of Sectlon 401(a) of the Internal Revenue Code, as amended At the earllest date posslble, the Clty con:.rlbutlons, as descrlbed above, shall be paid into the 401(a) plan. 3.05 Mlleage Rel~bursement and Energy Conservatlon Relmbursement. to permanent employees covered hereln for the authorlzed use of personal automobiles on Clty buslness shall be at the rate authorlzed by the Clty Counc:.l. Reimbursement rates will be consldered ln preparing budget recommendatlons at least every two (2 ) years Santa MOlllca Municlpal Bus Llne tokens, to a maXlmum of twenty (20) tokens per month, wlll be provlded to any employee covered hereln who submits, on the Clty form, a record of his/her trlpS (home to work site, or work Slte to home) during the precedlng month. The Santa Monica Mun~clpal Bus Llne route number and the bus number used for each trlp must be entered on the relmbarsement form.
