Introduction
This report concerns award of b1d to furnlsh and deliver cotton
rags at specified un1t pr1ces, plus appl1cable sales tax
Background
In response to published Notices Inv1ting Bids (publ1shed May 31
and June 1, 1994) to furnish and del1ver cotton rags in accordance
w1th C1ty speciflcat1ons, b1ds were recelved and publlcly opened
and read on June 9, 1994. Proposal forms were mailed to twelve
(12) vendors and notices were advert1sed 1n accordance with City
Charter and Munic1pal Code prov1sions. Six (6) proposals were
received as follows:

Staff has evaluated the low bid and finds that it meets City
specifications.
Budqet/F~nancial Impact
Fiscal year 1994-95 appropriat~on authorlty for this purchase ~s in
the ma~ntenance accounts of various departments. As the materials
are drawn out of ~nventory, they will be expensed against available
FY 1994-95 appropriat~on authOYlty.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award of Bid #2498 be made to Kwik
Distributing, Inc at specifled unit prices, plus applicable sales
tax, as the lowest and best bidder.
