INTRODUCTION
This report recommends the Clty Councll author1.ze the city Manger
to amend contract ::umber 7156 to al::"ow a Slx-month no-cost
extension. '='his contract: allowed ~he Cl~Y to accept a grant l~
the amount of $22,065 for a MUn1.C1Dal S~ormwater/0rba~ Runoff

Resources Control Board (SWRC3 )
BACKGROUND
In August 1995, t~e C:i.ty of San~a Monlca recelved a grant froT
the SWRCB to l.mple'llent an ln~ova::::1.ve p~bllC ed~catlo:: proJect to
lncrease awareness among San::a Monlca res1.dents and bUSlnesses of
problems related to urban runoff and to prov::.de t:'l.em Wl t~
1.nforrrat1.on on ways to reduce runo::f pollutlon. A central
component of the program lnvolves Heal tne Bay developlng and
coord1.nat1.ng the G.1.str::.butlOD. of a colo::::-ful ::~sh-shaped door-
hanger throughout the C:;..ty.
