Introduction
ThlS report concerns award of bid to furnish and deliver
miscellaneous trash bin parts for the SOlld Waste Management
D1Vlslon, Environmental and Public Works Management Department, at
specified unit prices, plus applicable tax.
Backqround
In response to published Notices Invlting Bids (published May 25
and 26, 1995) to furnish and dellver miscellaneous trash bln parts
in accordance wlth City specifications, bids were received and
publicly opened and read on June 12, 1995
Proposal forms were
mal1ed to two vendors and notices were advertised ln accordance
wlth Clty Charter and Munlclpal Code provlsions.

The City currently has approximately 4,000 metal refuse containers ln
circulatlon.
These miscellaneous trash bin parts wlll be used on an
on-going basis to repair/refurblsh those containers which are
repalrable.
Staff has evaluated the low bid and finds that it meets City
specifications.
Budqet/Financial Impact
Fiscal Year 1995-96 appropriation authority for thlS purchase is ln
the Solid Waste Division,
Environmental and Public Works Management
Department, account number 27-500-441-00000-4427-00000.

Recommendation
It is recommended that the award of Bid #2542 be made to Consolidated
Fabricators Corp. at specified unit prices plus applicable tax, as
the lowest responslble bidder.
