SUBJECT: SUPPLEMENT TO ITEM NUMBER 6C
INTRODUCTION
This report is supplemental to the Staff Report, item number 6C,
recommending the adoption of the resolution authorizing the
submittal of a grant application to the County of Los Angeles
Department of Community and Senior citizen Services for funding for
the FY 1995/96 and authorizing the city Manager to negotiate and
execute a contract with the County for provision of services to the
elderly through the City's senior Nutrition and Recreation Program.
BACKGROUND
Based on the actual number of serving days for FY 1995/96, the County
has adjusted our grant allocation accordingly. The County has
adjusted the number of meals served in FY 1995/96 from 49,103 to
49,082 for the Congregate Meals Program. In addition, the County
has adjusted the number of meals served in FY 1995/96 from 19,961 to
19,918 for the Home Delivered Meals Program. Revenues for these
programs comes rrom this grant, the united states
Department of Agriculture, participant donations and the city's
General Fund.
