Discussion At the meeting of April 12, 1994, staff recommended award of a bid in the amount of $61,485.08 to Maner i Sign Company for the manufacture of street name signs (Bid #2485). The City council delayed action on that recommendation and directed staff to report back on the feasibility of providing a new design or appearance for the City's street name signs and consider developing a citywide graphic identity program. For the most part, the design of traffic signs are specified by state and federal requirements and the city must comply with these regulations. However, there is some flexibility with the design of guide or directional signage which can include logos or other features to create a new appearance or identity. staff is r~ J~~ 1 4 ~ ~ !I G\~J ~ ~ ~1 4 ,I '.
