INTRODUCTION
Thls report transmits for Clty Council certlflcation the Statement
of Offlclal Actlon for the denlal of Text Amendment 92-011 which,
If It had been approved, would have modified eXlstlng development
standards whlch apply to garage accessory structures.
On March 8, 1994, the Councll denied the proposed Text Amendment
based on the flndings and conditions contained in the attached
Statement of Officlal Action.
BUDGET/FINANCIAL IMPACT
The recommendation presented in thls report does not have any budget
or flnancial lmpact.
RECOMMENDATION
It is respec~fully recommended that the Clty Councll approve the
attached Statement of Official Actlon.

FINDINGS
l. The publ~c health, safety, and general welfare do not require
the adopt~on of the proposed amendment, ~n that the amendment
would result in unnecessarily restr~ct~ve development standards
for the construct~on of garage accessory bu~ld~ngs which
encroach to one s~de property line within the rear 35 feet of
a parcel, and that the Section proposed for amendment has
existed ::or a long period of time without problems ar~s~ng
which warrant a Text Amendment.
