This report concerns an award of bid to furnish and deliver two (2) 1996 Ford Crown Vlctona
sedans for the Operations DIVISion, Santa MOnica Municipal Bus Lines Department, In the total
amount of $42,202 35, including applicable sales tax,

Staff recommends that these vehicles be purchased under the cooperative purchasmg
proVISions of the Los Angeles County Contract Number 5-148 (Wondnes Chevrolet), and
converted to bl-fuel CNG gasoline These vehicles will be utilized by supervisory personnel to
supervise transit and charter bus operations and Will cover Wide areas throughout Southern
California which do not necessarrly have dedicated CNG refuelmg stations The County of Los
Angeles awarded Contract S-148 as the result of a bid process, which satisfieS the City's bid
requirement
The purchase of these two (2) bl-fuel Ford Crown Vlctorra sedans IS consistent With the City's
reduced emiSSions fuel policy
Staff has evaluated County Contract Number S-148 and the County's procurement process It
