Subject: Resolution Establishing Parking Zones for the
Disabled Adjacent to 1221 Franklin Street,
125 Pacific street, 1547 Stanford street and
621 Bay Street
Introduction
This report recommends that the City Council approve the attached
resolution to establish parking zones for the disabled adjacent
to 1221 Franklin Street, 125 Pacific Street, 1547 Stanford
Street, and 621 Bay Street.
Backqround
On May 27, 1980, the City Councl1 adopted an ordinance to enable
the establishment of parking zones for the disabled. Under this
ordinance such a zone may be established by resolution of the
Clty Council upon request by an individual and verification by
the City Parking and Traffic Engineer.
Staff has received requests from res idents for the installation
of disabled parking zones adjacent to 1221 Franklin Street, 125
Pacific street, 1547 Stanford Street and 621 Bay Street.
Staff has reviewed the request and finds that the zones meet all
the appropriate requirements. 6 -~

There is no budget or fiscal impact resulting from this request.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached
resolution establishing parking zones for the disabled adjacent
to 1221 Franklin street, 125 Pacific street, 1547 Stanford street
and 621 Bay street.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA ESTABLISHING DISABLED PARKING
ZONES ADJACENT TO 1221 FRANKLIN STREET, 125 PACIFIC STREET,
1547 STANFORD STREET AND 621 BAY STREET
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Monlca has
enacted an ordinance enabling individuals to request parking
zones for disabled persons: and
WHEREAS, the city has received requests for parking zones
for the dlsabled: and
WHEREAS, the Parking and Traffic Engineer has considered
the requests and concluded, based upon the factors stated in
Munlcipal Code Section 3366A, that disabled parking zones may be
installed at the requested locations,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That parking zones for the disabled are
hereby established adjacent to 1221 Franklin street, 125 Pacific
street, 1547 Stanford Street and 62l Bay Street.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be ln full force and effect.
