Award Bid to Furnish and Deliver
Unused Two Axle Truck Tractor,
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid to furnish and deliver one (1)
new and unused two axle truck tractor for the Solid Waste
Management Division, General Services Department, in the total
amount of $29,897.57, including applicable sales tax.
Background
In response to published Notices Inviting Bids (published
August 12 and 13, 1991) to furnish and deliver one (1) new and
unused two axle truck tractor in accordance with City
specifications, bids were received and publicly opened and read
on September 4, 1991.
Proposal forms were mailed to seventeen
vendors and notices were advertised in accordance with City
Charter and Municipal Code provisions.

This vehicle is being purchased as a part of the City's on-going
refuse vehicle replacement program. City specifications
requested bids on a diesel and propane powered vehicle. This
vehicle is not available in propane.
Staff has evaluated the 10\'1 bid and finds that it meets city
specifications.
BUdget/Financial Impact
Fiscal Year 1991/92 appropriation authority for this purchase is
in the capi tal Improvement program budget, General Government
Category, "Refuse Vehicle Replacement, II account number
27-710-441-20092-8900-99005.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award of Bid #2366 be made to Boerner
Motor company in the total amount of $29,897.57, including
applicable tax, as the lowest and best bidder.
