Introduction
This report concerns rejection of bids to furnish and deliver
one (1) new and unused 3/4 ton propane powered pickup Truck for
the Environmental proqrams Division, City Manager Depa~tmQn~.
Background
In response to published Notices Inviting Bids (published
August 12 and 13, 1991) to furnish and deliver one (1) new and
unused 3/4 ton propane powered Pickup Truck in accordance with
city specifications, bids were received and publicly opened and
read on September 4, 1991.
Proposal forms were mailed to nine
vendors and notices were advertised in accordance with city
Charter and Municipal Code provisions.

staff has evaluated the bids and finds that they substantially
exceed the amount budgeted in the FY 91/92 budget. Staff wishes
to revise the specifications to a smaller vehicle.
Recommendation
It is recommended that all bids on Bid #2365 be rejected and
staff be directed to rebid the requirement.
