SUBJECT: Recommendation to Award Bid to Furnish and Deliver
ultra Low Flow Toilet Fixtures, Bid #2362
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid to furnish and deliver ultra
low flow toilet fixtures for the Environmental Program Division,
at specified unit prices, plus applicable sales tax.
Background
In response to published Notices Inviting Bids (pUblished July 1
and 2, 1991) to furnish and deliver ultra low flow toilet
fixtures in accordance with City specifications, bids were
received and publicly opened and read on July 23, 1991. Proposal
forms were mailed to twelve vendors and notices were advertised
in accordance with City Charter and Municipal Code provisions.

The toilet fixtures will be used in the City's "Bay Saver" direct
install program. staff has evaluated the low bid and finds that
it meets City specifications.
BUdget/Financial Impact
Fiscal Year 1991/92 appropriation authority for this purchase is
in the Environmental Program Division, account number
31-110-662-00000-4439-00000.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award of Bid #2362 be made to Bay Area
Pipe & Supply at specified unit prices, plus applicable tax, as
the lowest and best bidder.
