SUBJECT: Recommendation to Award Bid to Provide Security
services, Bid #2367
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid to provide security services
for the City's 612 Colorado facility, at $4,455.00 per month.
Background
In response to published Notices Inviting Bids (published
August 12 and 13, 1991) to provide security services in
accordance with city specifications, bids were received and
publicly opened and read on September 4, 1991. Proposal forms
were mailed to seven vendors and notices were advertised in
accordance with City charter and Municipal Code provisions. Two
proposals were received as follows:
sentinel Guard Systems
$4,455.00jmonth
$6,693.00jmonth
Tops Security Patrol (WMBE)
Staff has evaluated the low bid and finds that it meets city
specifications and is within the 1990/91 quoted price for the
same service.

BUdget/Financial Impact
Fiscal Year 1991/92 appropriation authority for this purchase is
in the Economic Development Division, Community Development
Department, account number 15-200-263-00000-5595-15753.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award of Bid #2367 be made to Sentinel
Guard Systems at $4,455.00 per month, as the lowest and best
bidder.
