IntroductIon
ThIS report transmIts a resolutIon appoIntIng representative and alternate to
the Southern California RapId Transit DIstrIct CIty SelectIon CommIttee.
Background
On ~'1ay 12, 1977, J.layor Donna S\'vink appoInted Council ~1ember Pieter van den
Steenhoven as delegate to the Southern CalIfornia RapId Transit DistrIct CIty
SelectIon CommIttee and Council Member John Bambrick as alternate delegate.
We are advised by the Southern CalIfornIa RapId TransIt DistrIct that If there
has been a change In our CIty'S representatIon on the CIty SelectIon CommIttee
for SCRTD it is necessary for the City CouncIl to adopt a resolutIon IndIcating
the new representatives and to have the City Clerk forward a certifIed copy of
this ResolutIon of AppoIntment to ~rr. R. K. Kissick, Secretary of the SCRTD.
RecommendatIon
In order to abIde by the procedure set forth In the Southern CalifornIa RapId
TransIt DistrIct Law and to formalIze the appointment of CounCIl Members
Pieter van den Steenhoven as delegate and John BambrIck as alternate, it IS
recommended that the attached resolutIon be adopted

The following resolution was adopted at the Mav 10, 1977 meeting of the
Southern California Racid Transit District Board oT Dirpctors:
RESOLUTION NO. R-77-204
RESOLVED, that, pursuant to Section 30222 of the Southern
California Rapid Transit District Law, the Board of Directors
hereby calls an annual meetin~ of the City Selection Committee
to be held on Thursday, June 2, 1977 at aooroximate1y 8:30 p.m.,
in the Rodger Young Center, 936 West Washington Boulevard, Los
Angeles, for the puroose of electing a Director from Corridor !tD"
for the term expiring June, 1981, and is now held by Director
Charles H. Storfnq of La Puente, and instructing the Secretary
to notify the members of the City Selection Committee of the I
date, time and place of such meetinQ, as orovided by the Oistrict
Law.
Attached is a list of Citv Selection Committee members, as recorded in our
files, and the voting stren~ths, as detennined ~v the PODulation Research
Unit of the Department of Finance. These fi7ures are the preliminary fi~ures
furnished by the Department, with the final figures to be available prior to
the June 2 meeting. In accordance with chanoes in the SCRTO Law, as amended
by AS 2599 which became effective January 1, 1977. votino strengths a~e now
determined by population rather than assessed valuation.
If there has been a change in your city's representation on the City Selection
Committee, please have the Citv Clerk forward a certified copy of the resolution
of appointment to the undersigned, in order that the proDer representative
will be qualified to cast a ballot at the meeting.
