SUBJECT: Request For Transfer of Funds
Introduction
ThIS report requests that $5000 be transferred wltlnn the Records
Management Division's budget from the Contractual-Services Bid
Account to the Equipment Account fOr the purchase of a Mlnolta AR-l
Controller.
Background
The Mlnolta AR-l Controller is an automatic retrieval unIt which
Interfaces wIth the Reader-PrInter 40SE to fa~llitate the retrieval
of documents and series of documents. The acquisition of this
unIt would greatly enhance the Records Management DiVIsionIs abIlIty
to provide efflclent and tImely service to CIty departments and
staff. The AR-l Unit IS made to work in conjunctIon WIth the Reader-
PrInter 40SEjof whIch the Records Management DIVISIon is already In
possessIon, and WIll make for a more complete system.
Recommendation
It IS recommended that Council approve the transfer of funds withIn
the Records Management DiVIsion budget from Contractual-Servlce B~d
Account No. 01-100-214-000-501 to Equipment Account No. 01-100-214-

000-801 for the purchase of the 'AR-l Controller.
