Introduction
This report concerns award of bid to provide trimming of
miscellaneous trees for the Parks and Sports Divislon, Community
and Cultural Servlces Department at specified unit prices,
lncludJ.ng flve (5 ) one-year renewal options.
Backqround
In response to publlshed Notlces Inviting Bids (published October 6
and October 9, 1995) to provide trimming of miscellaneous trees ln
accordance wlth CJ.ty speciflcations, bids were received and
publlcly opened and read on October 24, 1995. Proposal forms were
malled to fourteen (14 ) vendors, and notices were advertised in
accordance with Clty Charter and Municipal Code provlsions. Three
(3 ) proposals were received as follows:

Budget/Financial Impact
Fiscal Year 1995-96 appropriatlon authority for thlS purchase is ln
the Parks & Sports Divlsion, Community and Cultural SerVlces
Department, account number 01-400-511-40032-5501-00000.
Recommendatlon
It lS recommended that the award of Bld #2459 be made to West Coast
Arborists at specifled unlt prlces, plus appllcable tax, and five
(5) one-year renewal optlons as the lowest and best bldder.
