SUBJECT: ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
AMENDING SECTION 3.36.280 OF THE SANTA MONICA MUNICIPAL
CODE RELATING TO THE USE OF CITY OWNED PARKING STRUCTURES
INTRODUCTION
At its meeting on November 29, 1994, the City Council introduced
for first readlng an ordinance amendlng section 3.36.280 of the
Santa Mon1ca Munlcipal Code relating to the use of Clty owned
parklng structures.
The ord1nance 15 now presented to the Clty
Council for adoption.
RECOMMENDATION
It is respectfully recommended that the accornpanYlng ordinance be
adopted.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA AMENDING SECTION 3.36.280 OF THE
SANTA MONICA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE
USE OF CITY OWNED PARKING STRUCTURES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
Section 3.36.280 of the Santa Mon1ca Municlpal
Code 15 amended to to read as follows:
3.36.280 Regulatlon of Cl ty-owned parking
structures.
(a) No person may be present ln a Clty-
owned Park1ng Structure unless he or she is
engaged in one of the followlng actlvltles or
accompanying someone who is so engaged:
(1) Parking or unparking a vehicle
or r~ding In a vehicle ~hlCh is being parked or
unparked;
(2) Departing from after parking, or
returning to, for unpark~ng, a vehlcle which is
parked ln the Parking structurej
