p:cel1m1nary deslgn study for a :aclllty to -:reat the low flow from
the Plco-~enter and Santa Xonlca Pler storm dralDs. The results
frorr thlS study w~ll be used In t~e flnal des1gn of the low flow
treatrr,ent faclllty. The scope of the prel1mlnary deslgn study
requlres tie consultants to: reV1e'N tl:e l~terature and SU:T1'1arlZe
past stud:..es; report or: wa~er qual1ty and water :ce-use
requlre:neD':S; evaluate re-use ma:c<ets for treated water; evaluate
t:ceatment alternatlves; and 1centlfy any slgn::flcant slte
constralnts.
A selec~lo~ team conslstlng of th:cee Clty staff and one Clty of Los
P..r_ge le s staf:: was formed. ~he p:coposals were evaluated and three
consul-:ants were lDvlted for an l::-depth lntervlew. Based on "':~e
